About the challenge

The Limburg Innovation Challenge is an innovation- & entrepreneurship programme, in which students can innovate and engage in entrepreneurship, in collaboration with the business world and (semi) government. The challenge encourages students to develop innovative ideas regarding societal research questions within Limburg.

The programme supports participants in realising a viable business plan. During the competition students can develop their core competencies, such as an entrepreneurial mindset, innovative thinking, and working in interdisciplinary teams. Additionally, they get the opportunity to realise their innovations in co-creation with experts within the academic field and the business world.

During this first edition, this Challenge is open to all students at Maastricht University and Zuyd Hogeschool. In addition, those studying at other universities of applied sciences are also welcome to join in the Maastricht University Challenge. Going into the future, it is our ambition to expand this Challenge, as to encompass all students in Limburg.
